Dating back to 1821, Loron & Fils winery is one of the oldest family-owned companies in Bourgogne and Beaujolais. Now, the winery is in the hands of the 6th generation, led by Xavier Barbet. Loron winery combined the function of grapegrower and owner, winemaker and winemaking dealer both in Bourgogne and Beaujolais. Presently, the company is one of the TOP 10 winemaking companies in Burgundy. And, in recent years, Loron winery became the first winemaker in Beaujolais, which is evidenced by its wide recognition in its cradleland, Lyon, and the French Big Golden Medal, Beaujolais Nouveau, awarded in Lyon wine competitions in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
