Cantina Danese Srl Cantina Danese Srl

Cantina Danese Srl is a family-owned Italian wine company whose history began in 1950. Over more than seven decades, the small business founded by a farming family has evolved from producing and selling bulk wine in the area between Verona and Vicenza to creating its own brands and entering the international bottled wine market.

The Cantina Danese winery is located in Roncà, in the province of Verona, close to the Soave wine-producing area. It is a land of hills and vineyards with volcanic soils, situated within the protected area of Lessinia Park. Around the family estate and winery, the company grows the native Durella and Garganega grape varieties, which are used to produce Durello and Soave, two wines traditionally associated with this part of Veneto. At the same time, its extensive experience in wine selection enables Cantina Danese to work with renowned grape varieties and wine-producing regions throughout Italy.

Despite its continued growth, the company remains a family business. Its traditions were established by Mario Danese, while his son Luca Danese has led the company since the early 2000s. Having studied oenology, Luca has continued to develop the production facilities and bring Italian wines to international markets.

Today, the next generation of the family works alongside Luca. Riccardo Danese, who gained professional experience with wineries throughout Northern Italy, assists his father in managing the company and improving its production processes. Rachele Danese works with partners and represents the company at international trade exhibitions. Luca’s wife, Samanta Lonardoni, is also involved in the family business, while their youngest son, Raffaele, is already studying oenology. In this way, knowledge and experience are passed down from one generation to the next, preserving a living connection between the history of Cantina Danese and its future.

Cantina Danese combines its traditional family approach with modern technology. In 2021, the company opened a new high-tech production facility featuring almost fully automated processes, an in-house laboratory and a continuous quality-control system. The company monitors every key stage of winemaking, from handling grapes and bulk wine to stabilisation, filtration, bottling and packaging. Part of the winery’s energy requirements is supplied by its own solar panels.

Its high production standards are confirmed by the international IFS Food and BRCGS Food Safety certifications. Today, Cantina Danese presents Italian wines in dozens of countries across four continents, combining regional authenticity, modern technology and the responsibility of a family-owned business.
